AZTech Spills the Beans

Our latest Chemical Spills, Safety Precautions, and Response Action course, presented by industry expert Dave Annells, has just wrapped up at the beautiful Hilton Al Habtoor City in Dubai.

With a stunning view of the Dubai Canal, participants from across the globe—from Kenya to Kuwait, Nigeria to Saudi Arabia, and Oman—gained insights into the intriguing world of chemicals and chemical spills. Many were surprised to discover that substances like iron dust and sugar have the potential to explode and that there are over 143 million chemicals registered in the CAS registry.

Throughout the course, attendees were introduced to the Global Harmonized System (GHS) pictograms, among other essential topics. We explored the intricacies of paraffin heaters and the unexpected hazards of pillows, the importance of first aid and safe operation of forklift trucks, and even found connections between disaster movies and drip trays, manta rays, and monitors. The curriculum truly covers a wide range of subjects, ensuring a comprehensive learning experience.

One enthusiastic participant commented on the course’s delivery, noting, “The topic was excellently delivered and interactive.” The delegates left with smiles, taking home not only knowledge but also an enriching experience.
