The training course aims to provide insights in to the approach to improving quality, productivity and cost reduction applied by today’s world-class organisations and provides those attending with a practical and useable toolkit with which to work in their own organisation.

The course is structured as a highly participative workshop with formal presentations, case studies and interactive worked examples. Relevant examples and case studies will be provided to illustrate the application of each of the topics covered and opportunities are provided to learn and practice the use of powerful modern finance skills and tools, reinforced with practical examples and exercises.

- Identifying areas of poor productivity and quality

Day Four: Practical Business Improvement Methods
- Waste reduction using the Toyota 5S approach
- Understanding the real DNA of Toyota’s success
- Kaizen – a philosophy of continuous improvement and problem solving
- Choosing the right Key Performance Measures (KPM’s)
- Practical problem-solving tools – Pareto analysis, Brainstorming and mind-mapping, Fishbone diagrams, and Using 5 Why’s for root cause analysis
