After the Covid-19 pandemic, and the dramatic drop in oil prices, government finance in developing countries will be in even shorter supply. As happened after the global financial crisis, many governments may have been hollowed out by the bail-out obligations they have taken on from the private sector. In these circumstances, do Public Private Partnerships hold some of the answers for how infrastructure development can continue where it is so badly needed?
This highly participative one-day online training event will help participants who are planning the development of new major projects, such as dams, power generation plants, water treatment facilities and new industrial cities, to consider the PPP as a contracting mechanism for new infrastructure.
