  • Ship scrapping and recycling

Day Three: Methods of Surveillance

Day Four: Management Systems

Day Five: Overview of Legal Repercussions of Marine Pollution

  • Limitation of liability to compensate loss or damage resulting from polluting incidents
  • The involvement of Protection and Indemnity Clubs (P&I) and of the International Oil Pollution Compensation Funds (IOPCF)
  • Private industry schemes: Small Tanker Oil Pollution Indemnification Agreement (STOPIA), Tanker Oil Pollution Indemnification Agreement (TOPIA), and Offshore Pollution Liability Agreement (OPOL)
