Why Choose this Training Course?

Rising scientists’ concerns about global water scarcity do not seem to be seriously considered.  Water pollutants and regulated substances are growing at a fast pace and the latest United Nations FAO reports estimate that by 2025 around three quarters of the world population will not have access to safe drinking water. On the other hand, there is the need for continuous supply of water of appropriate specifications to numerous applications in the process industries. The dire need for water treatment, in order to balance demand and supply and provide water that is fit-for-purpose, is therefore a must in our daily lives.

This Water Treatment training course will focus on existing and emerging water treatment techniques that are available and are used in a wide range of domestic and industrial applications. It will at the same time provide valuable information on those decision criteria that are needed in order to attain a sustainable balance between Financial, Health & Safety and Regulatory considerations. Specific reference will also be made to the recent pandemic and its interesting correlation with domestic sewage.

This AZTech training course will feature:

  • Review of the basic terms and definitions of water quality
  • Key parameters in water chemistry and microbiology and their interpretation
  • Introduction to water pollution and categorization of pollutants
  • Description of water treatment techniques for different processes
  • Recent advances in water treatment

What are the Goals?

By the end of this AZTech training course, participants will be able to:

  • Review their water needs and assess the suitability of the water resources available
  • Select and apply appropriate water treatment techniques
  • Develop suitable monitoring plans to assess the effectiveness of the chosen treatment technique
  • Carry out inspections to optimize the treatment regime and ensure on-going fitness for purpose
  • Develop a good understanding of the implications of water treatment to legal and regulatory requirements

Who is this Training Course for?

This AZTech training course is suitable for a wide range of water treatment professionals but will greatly benefit:

  • Project managers
  • Process and Plant engineers in the Water treatment sector
  • Quality Assurance Departments of Waterboards and local Water Authorities
  • Official Regulatory Authorities (hygiene and health & safety inspectors)
  • Facility management companies’ personnel
  • Maintenance personnel in the Healthcare and Hospitality sectors

How will this Training Course be Presented?

This AZTech training course will utilise a variety of proven adult learning techniques to ensure maximum understanding, comprehension and retention of the information presented. This includes trainer-guided discussions between participants involving their personal experience. In addition, case studies and group exercises will further assist towards comprehending the core principles of water treatment.
