AZTech Spills the Beans

The Chemical Spills, Safety Precautions and Response Action course presented by Dave Annells has just been successfully concluded at the Hilton Al Habtoor City, Dubai.

Overlooking the Dubai Canal, the delegates, who came from Kenya to Kuwait, Nigeria to Saudi Arabia, as well as Oman, certainly learned things about chemicals and chemical spills which surprised them.

So “iron dust and sugar can explode?”, and “there are over 143 million chemicals registered in the CAS registry”.

They have also learned the GHS pictograms and some poetry. We’ve discussed paraffin heaters and pillows, first aid and fork-lift trucks, disaster movies and drip trays, manta rays and monitors, and evacuation and communication. Somehow the course covers all these and much more.

As one of the delegates said, “The topic was excellently delivered and interactive”.
All the delegates went away smiling from the experience.
